This Privacy Policy explains how OhKayTracker(“OhKayTracker”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website, app, and services — including the portfolio tracker, insights, market updates, and the Academy (courses and live classes). By creating an account or using OhKayTracker, you agree to this policy. We’ve written it in plain language so it’s easy to follow.

1. Who we are

OhKayTracker is operated by Kayhasavision Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria. We are the “data controller” for the information described here. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@ohkaytracker.com.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address (for sign-in, verification, and important notices) and an optional display name.
• Portfolio data you enter — the holdings, deposits and withdrawals, notes, savings goals, monthly plans, currency and theme preferences you add to the app. This is information you type in; we do not connect to your bank to fetch it (unless you explicitly link an account through a licensed provider in future).
• Academy data — the courses and classes you enrol in, and (if you are an author) the content you publish.
• Payment status — whether your subscription or an enrolment is active or expired. Payments are processed by Paystack; we receive a confirmation, not your card details.
• Technical & usage data — standard server logs from our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) used for security, fraud prevention, and reliability.
• Device storage — small values stored in your browser (e.g. your login session, theme, and the “hide balance” setting) so the app works and remembers your preferences.

3. What we do NOT collect

• We never see or store your card, bank, or CVV details. These go directly to our payment processor (Paystack) over their secure systems.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.

4. How we use your information

• To provide and run the app — your account, portfolio, goals, market updates, and Academy access.
• To process subscriptions and course/class enrolments (via Paystack).
• To send essential emails — email verification, password resets, receipts, and important service notices.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To comply with legal obligations.

5. How your data is stored & protected

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers — Supabase(database and authentication) and Vercel(hosting). Each account’s data is isolated using row-level security, so one user cannot read another user’s data. Connections are encrypted in transit(HTTPS), and passwords are stored only as secure hashes — never in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run OhKayTracker, each under their own terms and data-protection commitments:

• Supabase — database & authentication
• Vercel — website/app hosting
• Paystack — payment processing
• Resend / email provider — sending account and receipt emails
• Any provider you explicitly opt into in future (e.g. a licensed open-banking partner)

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and portfolio content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

8. Your rights & choices

• You can view, edit, or delete your holdings, goals, and account details at any time inside the app.
• You can export your portfolio to CSV.
• You can request a full copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or complete deletion of your account by emailing us.
• You can turn the “hide balance” setting on to keep figures private on shared screens.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and the right to object. To exercise any of these, contact hello@ohkaytracker.com.

9. Children

OhKayTracker is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. International transfers

Some of our providers process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate safeguards for your data.

11. Not financial advice

OhKayTracker is an information and tracking tool. Nothing in the app — including guides, insights, or market updates — is financial, investment, or tax advice. You are responsible for your own investment decisions.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service grows. We’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
